IE8 is being detected as IE 6

I logged in facebook with newly installed IE8, and on top of the page, it displays “Please Read This”, my first thought was that facebook is going to announce something important like they did for new theme a while ago.
Interestingly, it asks me to upgrade to IE7 since IE8 was recognized as IE6.

The User-Agent info sent by IE8 is what I found in the HTTP request header.

Same problem here … also get redirected to some mobile version of sites incorrectly (i.e. going to walmart.com, I get redirected to mobile.walmart.com).

HELP!

Same here! Guess it may be time to start using Firefox only from now on – what else can I do?
